HO
Train Layout FREEBIE!!! Started this with the kids, and now they
are too interested in girls, guns, and cars to take the time.
Layout is 5 x 10 feet. Currently I have it mounted with pulleys from the
garage rafters so it can be lowered down. Got it in the Recycler
for $200obo, but a freebie to any Trailmaster of friend of. Real
interesting track design, got basics done, needs terrain finishing and some
futzing on the track to make things run smooth. Includes a bunch of

Thanksgiving
Everyone had a great weekend wherever
they went.
Brett and Jaci went to Glamis and had a
great time. They did 95 down the sand drags in the Avy and it rode
smooth as glass, even on the unsmooth terrain. But, it's time for a new
paint job on the Avy after they got sandblasted by the wind.
Another group went to Salton Sea and had
a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner. Friday they went and saw the train
trestles down by Ocotillo. Saturday Kenny Foster led the group to play
in the notches and of course we all know what that means! Well,
that is where Scott broke his axle and they were able to get back to camp on
the trailer. Sunday is when we think that Ben rolled his Jeep.
We have no talked to him yet to find the details.
The last group went with Mike and Connie
Thompson to Cerro Gordo. There was a wonderful dinner for Thanksgiving
also, no one went hungry! Friday we waited for the last of the group
to arrive and just did a short run, came back to cam p and had a nice dinner
and campfire. Saturday it was up and on the trail, first stop Cerro
Gordo. We had a tour of the silver town that was once occupied by 4000
people. Then, to the Salt tram that took salt from Saline Valley to
the Owens Valley. The Askier Jeep did well on the 37 mile loop as well
as all the Jeeps, the altitude at times got to be over 9000 feet. The
new bees the The Thurstons - Randy, Janelle, Hannah, Sophie, Grace, and
Ethan, plus dog Chance also did ver well for being with the Trailmasters for
the weekend and going through parts of the trial they did for the first
time. Welcome and Good Job!

Monthly Chuckle
From the Nov. 30th Winter Park, CO Manifest:
"Officer Norm Rimmer observed a 43 year old male - who he later found to
be visibly intoxicated, according to the report - at the Winter Park Conoco
using a gas pump nozzle like a water hose and washing the ice and oil off
his vehicle "because it was a rental that he was returning the next day," an
account of the event reads.
According to Rimmer, the vehicle was still running.... "
He was a visitor from California.
Euro Honda Commercial.
If you recall Honda's racing in the 60's, this
is a great little Quicktime video. Requires a broadband connection,
and even then it takes a bit to download, but it's worth it! (note,
even on my broadband it starts, and then freezes for a bit while it finishes
loading. Give it a minute or two.)

Careful Towing!!!
Story goes that this guy accidentally left the
vehicle in park with the parking brake on. Hmm, must have been a big
diesel to not have noticed the extra drag!!

Askier Jeep / Allison Mobile - Well, it did good
Thanksgiving weekend. No problems, and it did a 37 miles loop on
Saturday. Erin is looking into some paint and she will be happy!
Steve Foster - The driveshaft was fixed, and it was on
the trail for Thanksgiving too!
Ben Fakkeldy - Well, there is some work to be on in
the Fakkeldy garage after the roll over at Salton Sea Thanksgiving. Benders,
hood, etc. At least no one was hurt.
Scott Smith - Snapped the drivers side axle. He
is know itn the market for Warn axles and new ball joints.
John and Sheryl Lewis - After almost 15 years with the
old bunkhouse motorhome it was time to get a newer one. (gee, it wasn't that
old 15 years ago!) They're bringing a "new" Southwind home this
weekend. The old one is going to a good home, Taylor and Ashley
Christianson.
