The Good Old Days - the 1500's
Here are some interesting sayings that came from
as far back as the 1500's.
It was a sign of wealth that one could afford to
have pork to serve. When you did, you would hang it up for guests to
see, and show that the man of the house could
"bring home the bacon."
They would cut off a piece for all
to share, and you would sit around and
"chew the fat."
Hey, this one's a "twofer" tidbit.
Food was cooked in the kitchen in a big kettle,
and it always hung over the fire. Each day the fire was lighted and
food was added and at night the fire would die down and it would get cold.
They ate mostly vegetables, meat was a real treat. Sometimes it would have
been in the pot for a looong time. So, the saying
"Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold,
peas porridge in the pot nine days old."
came about.

The Askier Mobile- Well it is
ready for pick up! All items are complete for the Dinkey Creek Vacation.
Both the Askiers and the Davis’ are excited to see how well it will do.
Kevin even had a new top and seats done so the girls are comfy!
Raymond Davis-The Dana 44 in
front was a job, but it got done, one of those things, that numerous things
got in the way. Also the long awaited Air locker is installed and ready to
be tried out at Dinkey Creek. Thank you for the all the help Danny as
always, Dad and I really appreciate it. Also thank you David Castillo for
your help.
Vince Bauer- The rear end will
be getting put together and put in after the Dinkey Creek trip.
